What is Adobe Creative Club at UCLA? What did I learn from this opportunity?
This club is dedicated to helping students at UCLA learn how to use the Adobe Creative Suite through different projects and workshops. When I participated in this club, I was placed in the Photo Editing group where we explored how to use Lightroom to change the lighting in our photos and how to remove objects from our pictures. From this club, I was able to practice my skills in Lightroom in order to make accentuate my photos.
During the editing process, I knew I wanted to emphasize the darkness that my photos did not capture in order to show how light appers differently at night. In the first two photos I wanted to dramatasize the way the clouds loom over us and in the third I wanted to have sort of dimmed effect that the city lights bring into an apartment.
During the editing process, I really wanted to highlight the color in the sky. When I took these photos, I felt like my camera didn't fully capture the way that the sky looked. Additionally, in the first and third photo, I used the erasing tool on Lightroom to remove objects that I didn't want in my photo. Moreover, in the first photo I also wanted to center the sky so I cropped the photo.
During the editing process for this photo, I felt like there was a lack of color that my camera wasn't able to capture from the actual location. For that reason, I went into Lightroom to add some saturation and contrast in order to see the vibrance of the greenery and the sky.
